Teresa Cole
Teresa Lynn Cole was born into a musical family and raised in Austin, the music capitol of the world.
She started singing at an early age, modeling herself after singers like Patsy Cline, Etta James, and Aretha Franklin.
She began her singing career in the band, Magnetic M-Pac, opening for performers such as Bob Schneider and The Scabs.
Teresa soon discovered her talent for writing music and teamed up with producers Brandon Bishop and Philip Rackley to make her first album "Just a Matter of Time."
Soon after, she was approached by Sauce to become their only female vocalist. Teresa continues to promote her album and gain fans everywhere she sings.
Adrian Washington
Adrian Martell Washington has been performing since the age of 5 years old. His grandmother realized his potential, helping him with stage presence, and choreographing his early elementary talent shows.
All of his hard work seemed to have paid off when he was chosen as a finalist for the second season of 'American Idol'. That year he was selected to go to Hollywood, and made it as far as the top 100.
After 'American Idol,' he returned to Austin, and was featured in several prominent talent contest in search of his big break. In the summer of 2005, he make top 2 in the weekly televised talent contect, 'Gimme the Mike'.
For over twenty years, Adrian has worked diligently to achieve his life's ambition of being a premiere R&B entertainer, consistently giving great shows for his audience.
Jackson Blacklock
Jackson Blacklock began his musical training at seven under Nina Mavrinac in the Suzuki school as a violist. He started vocal training in elementary school.
He was a finalist in the Texas Boys choir at age eight.
Jackson has been in jazz choirs, show choirs, madrigal choral groups, classical chorales and an internationally touring a cappella group Schrödinger's Cat.
He holds a music degree in vocal performance as a counter tenor where he studied under Dr. Bruce Douglas.
Jackson also has a commerical music concentration in audio engineering under Francis Preve's tutelage. He has written, directed and performed in many theater, TV and film productions.
Jackson is currently at the University of Texas completing a Bachelors in Management Information Systems.
Carlos Sosa
After founding Grooveline Horns, Carlos began playing with Austin's own, The Scabs.
Since then he has played with an ever expanding list of world renowned musicians suck as Blues Traveler, Willie Nelson, Luscious Jackson, Don Henley, Billy Bob Thornton, Pat Green, Ian Moore, Ozomatli, Raymond Webber, Mary Mary, and Trey Anastasio.
He is a regular performer with Jason Mraz, Bob Schneider, Boombox, The Scabs, Sauce, and Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk.
Kelly Clarkson also chose the Grooveline Horns for her 2007 summer tour.
Carlos has been a record producer for seven years, and has written and arranged music for MTV's "Pimp My Ride", and "Run's House."
He has earned a Latin Grammy, a Gospel Music Award, and is the Vice President of the Texas Chapter of The Recording Academy.
Fernando Castillo
Hailing from Austin, TX, Fernando Castillo is the trumpet player for Sauce and co-founder of the Grooveline Horns.
He has played and recorded with some of the biggest names in the industry including Jason Mraz, Rob Thomas, Trey Anastasio, Blues Traveler, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Willie Nelson, Ozomatli, Salvador, and Don Henley just to name a few.
As a group, The Grooveline Horns have won many prestigious awards, including a 2005 Latin Grammy with La Mafia for Best Group Album, a 2004 Dove Gospel Music Award with Salvador for Spanish Lanquage Album of the Year and were named "Best Horn Section" by the Austin Chronicle seven times.
Fernando has also written music for MTV's "Pimp My Ride," MSNBC's "American Made," and also Broadway's "A Prelude to a Kiss."
Raúl Vallejo
Raúl Vallejo grew up in the South Texas city of Harlingen, a colorful community with a distinct Latin flavor, which he has incorporated into his playing style today.
At seven, he began learning the harmonica, but at twelve, he discovered his passion: the trombone. In 1988 Raúl left Harlingen to attend the Music School at the University of North Texas.
He moved to Austin in 1994 to join a popular local band, the Gingbreadmen. In 1995, Raúl joined Carlos Sosa and Fernando Castillo as a trombone player for the Grooveline Horns.
They have played with numerous acts including La Tribu, Blues Traveler, The Scabs, Bob Schneider, and Ian Moore. In 2002, Raúl joined the Maynard Ferguson's Big Bop Nouveau and completed 3 tours.
In 2004, he helped found the Monster Big Band, an Austin jazz group.
Stefano Intelisano
Born in Pavia, Italy, and raised in Milan, Stefano Intelisano studied classical piano and organ from the age of 8.
He soon developed an interest in American music, focusing on blues, jazz, funk, R&B, and gospel.
While attending the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Milan, he broadened his musical skills in jazz ensembles and performed across Italy and Europe with various blues and rock bands, including Chicken Mambo and singer/songwriter Sarah Pierce.
In 2001, Stefano moved to Austin to become a studio musician/arranger at Merel Bregante's recording studio, The Cribworks. Since then, he has collaborated with artist such as Terry Clarke, John Inmon, Boombox, The Gene Pool, Sauce, Seth Walker, Rachel Loy, and MC Overlord.
Greg Seale
An extremely versatile performer, Greg has been playing drums since the age of 3. He has performed with some of the world's top musicians, including Andy Narell, Poncho Sanchez, and Steve Gadd, to name a few.
After he graduated from the prestigious percussion department at the University of North Texas, he performed around the Dallas Metroplex and the Southwest for a few years with Dr. Teeth and the Panhandlers Steel Band, while also staying active in the Metroplex as a teacher and clinician.
Greg left Texas in 2000 to join the Tony Award winning Broadway production of Blast! where he was a performer and manager.
TV credits include the Kennedy Center Honors and two NBA All-Star Games. Now he can be seen playing with Sauce, Radiostar, and John Pointer.
Carl Ramsey
As soon as Carl Ramsey could talk, he was asking his mother to teach him the piano. At five, he began classical training and soon started writing songs.
At Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts and later in the prestigious music program at University of North Texas, he expanded his musical horizons with jazz and improvisational music.
While playing in the band, Whitey, he received the nickname "Captian Carl" which has stayed with him ever since.
Carl has been playing in Austin for eight years in various bands, including Mr. Resistor, Crysta Bell, his own Captain Carl's Corner, and of course, Sauce.
Charles Rieser
Charles "The Razor" Rieser was born in 1965 in New York City. He found himself drawn to music and by the age of sixteen he was performing live.
A full music scholarship lured him away from NYC to the University of Maine. Austin's diverse music scene has become a perfect home, allowing Charles to express the many styles he loves to play, from rock to jazz.
He has won several Austin Music Poll Awards and has played or recorded with many artist such as Slade Cleaves, The Ugly Americans, Grammy Award winners: Salvadore, local heros: The Scabs, Boombox, John Popper of Blues Traveler, The Panic Choir, Glue Boy, Stringbones, Hush, The Atlantics, Magnificent Bastard, Jean Synodinos, and Soul Hat.
He's also the founding member of Sauce.
Darrell Phillips
For twenty-seven years, Darrell Phillips has been playing the electric bass.
He's right at home playing funk, jazz, rock, punk, hip-hop, and reggae.
He is a former member of the band, Sister7, releasing three major label albums over ten years and earning a top twenty single. Currently, Darrell plays with Sauce and heavy metal hip-hop group the DirtyWormZ, which has released two albums.
He is also developing a self-titled project, which will be performed as a one-man show.
